Anonymous asked: Okay, so I was just wondering...I really want to try and do voice acting. My question is, in college, do they teach you how to do different things? I mean, I've tried my best to teach myself, and I'm not bad, I just want to be better. I hope this makes sense. (hides in corner forever) Depends what program you’re talking about. :P If you major in economics you aren’t going to be getting much acting training. Let alone voice acting. I’ve had a couple voice acting master classes because the studio I’m in at my uni specialized in film & tv acting. And next semester I’ll have a regular class in voice acting. But most drama programs don’t have that. And it doesn’t matter that they don’t. The important thing is that you learn how to act and how to be a performer, because that’s all voice acting is. As far as range and everything, that just comes with practice and the better you are at being a character, the easier that will be. (And of course I recommend the book Voice Over Voice Actor to learn loads of stuff about voice acting) |
Links to both versions are in the link! :D

So I re-voiced this scene from Pokemon (and scrapped together bits so that most of it matches up with their mouths. Wasn’t really a priority though.).
YAY VOICE OVER.
A Day in the Life of Ash Ketchum! - a sound story.
I voice both Ash and Officer Jenny so, uhm, enjoy! It’d really mean a lot if you took a listen and let me know (gently) what you think. :D
[I do not own Pokemon, the music, the sound effects, or any voices other than Ash and Officer Jenny.]
